Karl Buetow is a licensed insurance professional with over 35 years of experience within the insurance agency business. He began his career as a risk inspector and moved on to become a sales agent. For the past 25 years has been the principal in charge of large complex accounts. Karl is currently the President and CEO of McClain Matthews Insurance.
Karl is a graduate of Indiana University holding an undergraduate degree in Finance as well as a master’s degree in Theology from Indiana Wesleyan. He is a graduate of the Professional Insurance Agents Basic and Commercial Lines Insurance School.
Karl has served on the board of directors of the Professional Insurance Agents Association holding the positions of President, Vice President and Treasurer. He has received the Professional Insurance Association (PIA) award of Agent of the Year for the State of Indiana, PIA Director of the Year and the prestigious PIA Presidential GOB Award.
Karl resides in the town of Avon and is active in the community. He has served on the Avon Board of Zoning Appeals, and is a past member of the Avon Town Council. Karl is a past member of the West Central Conservancy Board of Directors.
